Birthdays, Birthdays is Stan Sulzmann's fabulous big band album. Stan Sulzmann has played with big bands for years but it was only this year that he took on the task of writing for his own big band. What started out as a celebration for his 50th birthday turned into a live tour of the British Isles, which culminated at the Purcell Room in the London Jazz Festival.

Featuring with Stan Sulzmann, Henry Lowther and Kenny Wheeler on trumpets, Frank Ricotti, John Parricelli on guitar, Nigel Hitchcock and Julian Siegel on saxes and Paul Clarvis on drums.
